ATC2 will introduce the ESRs to concepts of human exposure assessment and pharmacokinetic modelling. The fundamental principles of commonly-applied methods of monitoring both external and internal exposure will be described. Different methods for modelling pharmacokinetics (one-box vs physiologically-based) of PFASs will be addressed in a hands-on workshop. The course will conclude with an interactive session in which ESRs be asked to work in small groups to devise a suitable exposure assessment strategy under a number of scenarios and to report those back in plenary.
